July 2021 Newsletter

Welcome to the July edition of Tower News.

This month’s newsletter gives a small salute to the tireless effort put into the management of schemes by the committee members who volunteer their time and energy into making them run.

Much of the work Committee members do is hidden from view with countless emails and phone calls and only really appearing to the wider body corporate as a motion on an agenda or line items on the budget. There’s no dollar value to this work and all too often the result of that is that the work is viewed as being valueless. Nothing could be further from the truth as most schemes would quickly start falling apart without the contribution of the volunteer members. Too often, it is thankless work, but Tower at least, we’d like to say thanks to all the Committees we deal with on a daily basis for all the help and assistance you provide.

Elsewhere in this issue:

  • Can you reallocate car spaces?
  • Can you challenge the refusal to own a pet?
  • FAQs about accessing body corporate records
  • and more.....

Sign up for Levies and Notices via Email

We continue to encourage as many owners as possible to sign up to receive levies and notices by email. Unfortunately, the post is slow and inconsistent at the moment while emails are fast and guaranteed. Signing up also helps save your plan money as distribution costs lower. We need to receive notification in writing to make the change 'Please send my notices/levies by email' is sufficient.
