Is your next meeting going to be online?
Did you know that Tower can now arrange your meetings so that owners can vote online? You do now.
The facility to hold meetings this way has been in place for a while, but as most buildings have now approved motions to allow electronic voting it’s a service that we are hoping to roll out to more customers over the next few months.
Some of you may be asking what does online voting actually constitute? It sounds fancy but in reality, it’s not much more complex than transferring the current means of voting by paper to doing it on your device, but hopefully, it can save you some printing and will make it easier for you to vote wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
Tower’s online voting system is run through Stratamax and, if your building is having a vote, you can log in to vote using the same details you use to log in to the regular portal (just ask if you need to be updated with your access details). From there you can follow the prompts to the meeting page where you can vote on the motions by selecting the ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘abstain’ button as appropriate. Once you have finished your votes they get logged, but if you change your mind about any of your decisions you can go back into the system and record your new position anytime up to the time of the meeting.
Owners who have used the system so far report that it is all pretty smooth and easy to use. From our perspective as managers, it makes the counting and recording of votes much easier and should help us produce minutes much faster.
If all of this sounds of interest, ask your manager about it next time you have a meeting coming up and they can help set up your plan. And for owners who don’t like the idea, no worries. The traditional methods are all still available.
